Summerlin Ice Cream Festival

Twelve-year-old Lorie Roybal inhales ice cream during the kid's ice cream eating contest at last weekend's All-You-Can-Eat Ice Cream Festival in Willows Park in Summerlin. Roybal won the contest by consuming almost an entire half gallon in three minutes and received a gift basket from local merchants. Matthew Warnock won the adult division and received a $250 gift certificate from Albertsons, which supplied the nearly 700 gallons consumed by the nearly 10,000 attendees. Proceeds from the 12th annual event benefit Nevada Ballet Theatre.
