U.S. Home provides myriad design options

U.S. Home offers buyers myriad options to customize their homes at neighborhoods throughout the valley and access to its design center.

"And it goes way beyond just selecting the color of carpeting and the cabinetry. Few builders give buyers the extensive interior modification and exterior trim options available from U.S. Home," sales executive Vicki Zoot said.

Zoot cited the various options offered with the builder's 3,077-square-foot, two-story Pacific Heights plan as an example.

"The basic design calls for four bedrooms plus a den, 2 1/2 baths and a three-car garage. But the Pacific Heights has wonderful flexibility, expanding to feature three, four or five bedrooms; an open loft; and an immense, almost 500-square-foot optional bonus room ... We also have a design option that includes a walk-in closet off the bonus room for storage," Zoot said.

"A buyer can extend the first level family room which in turn can create a larger, extended second bedroom and third bedroom with bath on the home's second level," she said.

"If you need an office and a two-bay garage instead of a three-bay garage, our design option features a private work area with direct access to the home's entry. The powder room on the home's lower level converts easily to a three-quarter bath. And a bay window option in the informal dining nook adds that extra touch of charm."

The model can be viewed at the Copperfield and Torrey Pines Ranch neighborhoods, near Jones Boulevard and Azure Drive in the northwestern valley; at Stillwater Canyon, just south of Tropicana Avenue and Fort Apache Road in the southwestern valley; and through the builder's Custom Residential Division.

Copperfield, which is in its second phase of development, offers nine floor plans and sites ranging from 70X105 to one-third acre. Prices start from the $190,000s. Other models featured are the 2,594-square-foot, single-story Cherryhill II; the 2,786-square-foot, two-story Sausalito; the 2,550-square-foot, single-story Brentwood; and two-story San Clemente, which can be expanded from 3,880 square feet to more than 4,200 square feet.

Homes available for immediate occupancy with special incentive financing include a 2,167-square-foot Tiburon design with three bedrooms, a den, two baths, three-car garage, complete landscaping with irrigation, a covered patio, ceramic-tile counter tops, spa tub in the owner suite, and soft-water loop. The home is priced at $193,000.

Also available is a 2,790-square-foot Sausalito, priced at $226,000, with four bedrooms, a den, ceramic-tile counter tops, oak staircase railings, and corner lot backing up to the neighborhood park.

Also backing up to the park is a Pacific Heights plan, priced at $259,000, with three bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, a three-car garage, den, bonus room, front-yard landscaping, and RV or boat parking.

At Torrey Pines Ranch, 33 cul-de-sac home sites measuring as large as one-half acre are featured. Twelve designs ranging from 2,500 to more than 4,500 square feet are priced from the $270,000s.

Sales offices and model homes are open from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily except Monday, when they open at 11 a.m.
