Renaissance earns Energy Star seal

Pardee Homes' Renaissance neighborhood, located in the Seven Hills master-planned community in Henderson, earned the Environmental Protection Agency's Energy Star seal of approval.

The homes contain features such as low-emissivity windows, high-performance heating and cooling systems, and tightly sealed air ducts, according to the builder.

"The Renaissance neighborhood is elegant proof that energy-efficient homes can be stunning as well as cost effective," Ray Landry, assistant vice president of sales for Pardee, said. "These homes have a complete energy-saving package known as ComfortWise, created by the independent energy consultants ConSol. Every ComfortWise home is carefully inspected during construction by ConSol experts."

Landry said that the homes block out more dust, allergens and noise pollution than other homes, due to its tight insulation.

The neighborhood's single-story floor plans measure from about 2,700 to 2,800 square feet and offer the choice of two bedrooms with a den or optional suite; as many as four bedrooms; or three bedrooms and a den. Prices range from $274,450 to $289,450.

Three two-story plans measuring from about 3,700 to 4,700 square feet are also available and offer as many as five bedrooms, including one with a downstairs owner suite. Prices range from $318,950 to $369,950.

Options include bedroom suites, bay windows, French doors, lofts, dens, game rooms, bonus rooms and wrought-iron balustrades on staircases. A bar off the family room in Plan Four, and a wraparound balcony in another model are also available.

Each kitchen features ceramic-tile counter tops, a pull-out faucet spray, cabinetry with oak or white matte finish, pantry, built-in microwave oven, and dishwasher.

Seven Hills is a 1,300-acre community featuring city and neighborhood parks and miles of trails.

To visit, take St. Rose Parkway to Seven Hills Drive, which is west of Eastern Avenue, and go south. Sales office hours are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily except Monday, when it opens at 11 a.m.

The builder's Crescendo neighborhood in Seven Hills also offers the ComfortWise program.
