Restrepo Group announces infill strategy project



-- The Restrepo Consulting Group has been retained as part of the consulting team selected by the Southern Nevada Regional Planning Coalition to develop an infill development strategy for the Las Vegas Valley. Restrepo will assist in identifying, characterizing and classifying infill properties and sites, and in identifying and assessing potential impacts, as well as preparing design alternatives.

-- Carlton L. Geer has been named director of Global Gaming Group, a division of CB Richard Ellis. Global Gaming provides commercial real estate services to the gaming industry. Previously, Geer was president and CEO of Showboat Indiana.

-- Richard H. Dooling has been named director of asset services for CB Richard Ellis. Previously, Dooling was vice president and regional manager of Jalmar Properties in Los Angeles.

-- KB Home donated 300 books to the family literacy program at Rowe Elementary School in Las Vegas. The program is designed to teach parents techniques on reading to their children, to encourage family reading, and to assist families who are learning English as a second language.

-- American Nevada Corp.'s Charles Van Geel represented the company in the five-year, 1,958-square-foot lease at 4300 E. Sunset Road in Green Valley Town Center to Real Estate School of Nevada for $156,000. American Nevada Corp.'s Richard Green represented the company in the 10-year lease of 12,366 square feet at the same location to Blue Wave, represented by Robert Reel of Re/Max Achievers, for $2.7 million.

-- Sellers Equity's Laurelle Temple-Pico represented URS Corp. in its seven-year lease of 23,400 square feet at 7180 Pollock Drive in McCarran Center from Thomas and Mack for $3.6 million.

-- Lee and Associates' Shawn Barashy and Kevin Hayes represented Davita in its five-year lease of 2,180 square feet at 3021 Valley View Blvd., Suite 110, from VV Properties, represented by Bruce Familian, for $109,061. In another transaction, Dave Knapper and Steven Santanna represented both parties in Rollins Leasing's sale of 6,250 square feet at 3564 W. Naples Drive to Raymond Chenoweth Family Trust for $975,000.

-- Alberto Jauregui of Bill Hammons and Associates represented both parties in Development Associates' sale of 42,000 square feet at 405 Max Court in Henderson to Jake Anderson, Michelle Anderson and Marilyn Scoggins for $1.7 million.

-- NAI Americana Commercial's Charlotte Sousa represented S and S Development in its five-year lease of 1,300 square feet at Sahara Town Center, 2660 S. Maryland Parkway, to Ceylon West Development for $116,870. Jan Hoback and Kathy Campbell represented Riverpark Limited in its 62-month lease of 3,351 square feet at 6126-6130 W. Sahara Ave. to Dollar Loan Center, represented by Kevin Donohoe of Commercial Specialists, for $325,739.

-- GVA Industrial Property Group's Art Farmanali represented Bernard Posin in his five-year lease of 7,125 square feet at 4214 Bertsos Drive to Precision Pump for $249,444. In another transaction, Bill Walsh represented Mr. Appliance of Clark County in the three-year lease of 2,040 square feet at 175 Cassia Way in Henderson from Cassia Way for $50,696.

-- Colliers International's Dan Doherty, Brian Pankratz and Jennifer English represented Evans Living Trust in its sale of 8,669 square feet at 3191 Builders Ave. to Jim and Teri Enterprises for $589,492.
