Design consultants assist buyers at Red Rock Country Club studio
Perhaps no one is more familiar with the myriad decisions that buyers of new homes must make than Jan Haag, director of design at Red Rock Country Club in Summerlin. "In many cases, finding the right floor plan is just the beginning of the series of decisions one needs to make when purchasing a new home," Haag said. "That's where the Red Rock Country Club Design Studio comes in." Professional design consultants are available at the builder's on-site studio to assist buyers in making major decisions down to the subtlest of selections. "It not just about picking out the color of your carpet or the granite for your kitchen counter tops, it's about making each home an expression of the buyer's individual style," Haag said. "With literally thousands of exterior and interior options to choose from for the new-home buyer, the selection process may seem overwhelming at times. Our professional design consultants are there for our buyers every step of the way so that the selection process never gets to that point. ... Our job as design consultants is to make the personalization of each home an enjoyable and exciting experience for the home buyer." The studio offers a range of flooring, window treatments, cabinets and counter tops. Buyers may also choose appliances, electrical changes, plumbing fixtures and garage options. According to Kevin Stall, vice president of sales, buyers can choose to purchase one of the floor plans as designed, or they can customize their selected design through the Sunsation Program. "Many of our buyers want a custom-home experience but they don't know where to begin. Through the Sunsation Program, we capture the best features of an already existing home design and then we incorporate the buyers' personal touch allowing the buyer to really put their fingerprint on their home," Stall said. Sunsation assistant manager Jennifer Main said the program benefits buyers. "By simplifying the customization process, we give our buyers the flexibility to make alterations that fit their lifestyle. Most of our buyers come to us with very specific ideas of what they want. We take those ideas and make them reality," Main said. Upon completion, the 738-acre community will consist of 1,116 homes, with many adjacent to the community's Arnold Palmer-designed golf course. Priced from the $350,000s to more than $2 million, the one- and two-story designs offer as many as six bedrooms and four-car garages and range from 2,100 to more than 5,300 square feet. Residents and members may enjoy the 18-hole championship golf courses, golf practice facility and pro shop, sports club, aquatic center, tennis facility, clubhouse and dining opportunities. To visit, take Sahara Avenue west, past Town Center Drive, and follow the signs. Or, take Interstate 215 to the Sahara Avenue exit and go west. The sales center and models are open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. Sunrise Colony Co. is also developing Siena, an age-qualified community in Summerlin.
