Estate-preservation incentives await depositors at Las Ventanas

Construction starts soon on Las Ventanas and, in celebration, the developers are offering current and future residents estate-preservation incentives. Effective immediately, Las Ventanas depositors receive a guaranteed 8 percent interest credit on their initial 10 percent deposit. Residents who choose to make an additional 10 percent deposit will receive a guaranteed 6 percent interest credit on the added deposit.

"Las Ventanas is being developed by three of the most prominent and experienced names in senior living," Suzanne Caldarello, marketing director said. "The combined financial strength of Westport Senior Living, development and management experience of Greystone Communities, and the not-for-profit expertise of American Baptist Homes of the West enables us to offer Las Ventanas residents not only unsurpassed services, but added perks, such as the newly established estate preservation alternatives."

All monies are held in escrow with Nevada Title Co. Interest credits will be applied to a resident's monthly service fees following move-in, according to Caldarello.

Las Ventanas, a nonprofit life care community, will be built on a 17.5-acre site at Charleston Boulevard and Town Center Drive in Summerlin. Added to the lineup of residential offerings are six single-story villas. Each measures 1,500 square feet with two bedrooms, a den, 2 1/2 baths, separate living and dining rooms, and a kitchen with a pantry and nook. Exterior features include a covered front porch, and a rear patio facing a landscaped courtyard.

"The addition of villas ... is another example of our responsiveness to the desires of those seniors who are seriously considering Las Ventanas as their life care community of choice in Las Vegas," Caldarello said. "It is a fundamental principle on which Greystone has based decisions regarding the development and management of more than 300 communities."

Las Ventanas will offer independent living in an active social environment. When needed, residents will have immediate access to assisted-living accommodations and skilled nursing care with private suites.

Amenities and services will include all-electric kitchens, washers and dryers, 24-hour emergency call systems, security, storage areas and paid utilities (except telephone). Also included will be meals; weekly housekeeping and linen service; basic cable television; health and wellness programs; cultural, social and recreational activities; and concierge services.

The information center is located in Hughes Plaza at 10000 W. Charleston Blvd. The center is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. or by appointment.
