Pulte plans model debut

Pulte Homes will mark the grand opening of two new-home projects in Summerlin next weekend. From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, visitors can tour the model homes at Cara Vella and Sage Hills, and also enjoy the festivities planned by the home builder.

Cara Vella is comprised of single-story homes, while Sage Hills is a gated development of single-story townhomes. Homes at both projects include a security system with one year of free monitoring service.

Homes at Cara Vella are the builder's first to feature the Platinum Plus Series Environments for Living building technology that includes 2X6 construction, which is wider than traditional framing and allows additional insulation to be blown into the structure, reducing heating and cooling costs.

"Cara Vella offers superior construction methods and processes which in turn equal superior performance," sales agent Brinton Cook said. "The home is constructed to provide one of the highest levels of energy efficiency available."

The floor plans range from 2,242 to 2,649 square feet.

Homes are priced from $314,990 to $327,990.

Interiors offer 10-foot ceilings, rounded wall corners, laundry rooms with sinks and cabinets, tile flooring, and cultured-marble vanity tops in all baths.

Additional features include kitchens with raised-panel cabinets and appliance packages. All homes are prewired for high-speed Internet access and audio systems in the great rooms.

Exteriors provide patio covers, gas barbecue stubs, coach lights at the front and rear of the home, and wrought-iron gates, per plan.

To visit Cara Vella, take Interstate 215 to Far Hills Avenue and go west to Carriage Hill Drive. Turn left at Carriage Hill, proceed to Vista Run Drive and turn right. Drive to Mountain Shadow Street and turn right.

Townhomes at Sage Hills measure from 1,251 to 1,613 square feet.

Prices start from $201,990 to $227,990.

They can be built with two or three bedrooms with a den or optional fourth bedroom, plus an attached two-car garage. Courtyards are featured in some plans.

Standard features include covered patios, refrigerators and raised-panel cabinets.

"Most of the features that our customers had to option in the past we have included in the base price of the home," sales manager Todd Hahn said.

These homes are built with Pulte's Platinum Series Environments for Living technology, and have earned the Energy Star label for efficiency. A two-year heating and cooling guarantee is included.

Resident amenities include a swimming pool, spa and exercise facility. In addition, all front-yard landscaping is professionally maintained.

Sales office hours are from noon to 7 p.m. on Monday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
