MacDonald Highlands' sites ideal for multilevel designs

Custom-home sites ideal for luxury estates situated along a golf course or on the sides of a mountain are offered at the guard-gated MacDonald Highlands community in Henderson.

"Demand for massive houses on larger acreage has forced us to open two neighborhoods earlier than anticipated," said Rich MacDonald, president of developer MacDonald Cos. "The size of homes being constructed in MacDonald Highlands can be startling in some cases. These estates are ranging from 10,000 to over 30,000 square feet. Our new phases will also easily accommodate this size of home."

The gated Lairmont and Glenbrook Canyon neighborhoods feature sites that measure one-half acre to more than 5 acres.

Only 16 homes will be built within the 12-acre Lairmont. Home sites, ranging from .52 acre to .76 acre, will face the private DragonRidge Country Club and offer views of the valley. They are designed to accommodate single- and multilevel homes, and are priced from $900,000 to $1.25 million.

Located within a canyon, Glenbrook features 14 mountainside lots ranging from .82 acre to 5.65 acres. They are priced from $950,000 to $3.5 million.

Five custom-home neighborhoods are selling in the community. Each has distinct topography and views. Lots range from one-half to more than 5 1/2 acres and are priced from $795,000 to more than $3.5 million.

A social membership to the country club is included with each purchase, upon application approval.

A clubhouse is set to open soon.

Additional amenities will include three parks encompassing about 10 acres with tennis, basketball and volleyball courts; play areas; and picnic facilities. Also planned are five miles of walking trails.

To visit the information center at 1730 W. Horizon Ridge Parkway, Suite 100, take Interstate 215 to Valle Verde Drive and go south to the northwest corner of Valle Verde and Horizon Ridge.

The sales office is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends.
