Ryland Homes puts emphasis on variety

Ryland Homes' subdivisions feature a range of floor plans and amenities to accommodate a variety of household types, according to the builder. In addition, all buyers can customize their homes through the builder's TrueU program.

In the southeastern valley is Sunrise Ridge, where five neighborhoods are available. The Calarosa subdivision offers single- and two-story residences as large as 3,697 square feet with as many as six bedrooms and 3 1/2 baths. Features, per plan, include island kitchens, grand staircases, bay windows, and two- or three-car garages. Room options include a library or den, a master retreat, and a secondary master suite or bonus room.

The homes are priced from the low $300,000s.

Combined with the other neighborhoods -- Las Rosa, Posadas, Dorado and Treo -- buyers can choose from 19 designs at Sunrise Ridge.

A park, playground, and two miles of walking and biking trails complement the community.

To visit, take Interstate 515 to the Flamingo Road exit and head east. Turn left at Cabana Drive, then turn right at Desert Inn Road. Proceed to Theme Road and turn right.

South Mountain also comprises five subdivisions. The newest, Vicanto, comprises four floor plans, all two story. The homes measure 1,611 to 2,208 square feet with two to four bedrooms and 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 baths. Prices start from the mid-$200,000s. Select plans can be modified to include an optional bedroom, courtyard, patio or deck.

The other neighborhoods within the southwestern valley community are Treo North, Treo South, Talasera and Aviano.

The sales center is located on Firewood Drive, near Blue Diamond and Fort Apache roads. To visit, take Interstate 215 to Durango Drive, go south to Arby Avenue and turn right. Drive to Fort Apache Road, turn right, go to Woodscape Parkway and turn left.

Both neighborhoods are open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily except Monday, when they open at noon.
