Asian cuisine served to Red Rock Country Club members

A warm summer evening mixed with delicacies from an Asian eatery brought out more than 200 members and guests of Red Rock Country Club to a special event in the community's sports club.

"The food was wonderful and the turnout was great," said member Cindy Froats, who along with husband Rusty regularly attend the member events. "We enjoy meeting new people and visiting with our friends from the club."

Guests enjoyed California and Pacific Rim cuisine, which included sushi and crispy spicy crab won ton.

Members Leisa and Stan Stilwell, who are 14-year Las Vegas residents, enjoyed the gathering.

"I can't believe all that Red Rock Country Club does for its members," Leisa Stilwell said. "We enjoy bringing our friends to these events and meeting so many great people that, like us, love Red Rock's great atmosphere and lifestyle."

The country club hosts a variety of events for members and their guests throughout the year.

Located adjacent to the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, the guard-gated country club offers views of the surrounding landscape.

The sports club offers health and fitness equipment, saunas, steam rooms, an aerobics studio, locker rooms and a supervised play area.

An aquatic center features a family pool, spa, adults-only pool, lap pool, splash and a spray mini-park, as well as an outdoor grill.

A clubhouse with restaurants and meeting rooms is scheduled for completion in December.

There are also two golf courses, a practice facility, pro shop, locker rooms, steam rooms and a media center.

The one- and two-story designs offer as many as six bedrooms and four-car garages. They range from 2,100 to 8,000 square feet. Prices start from $280,000 to more than $2 million.

Options include casitas, courtyards with fireplaces, wet bars, and owner-bedroom retreats with fireplaces.

To visit, take Sahara Avenue west, past Hualapai Way, to Town Center Drive and follow the signs. Hours are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.
