Buyers in search of a home in a family oriented community may want to visit Serenade, a Pardee Homes neighborhood in Rancho Las Palmas, according to Ray Landry, assistant vice president of sales for the builder.

"Rancho Las Palmas ... was designed by Pardee years ago to encompass amenities such as the John R. Beatty Elementary School and the adjoining 8-acre, multi-purpose Hidden Palms Park and ball field residents enjoy today," Landry said.

Additional amenities include tennis and volleyball courts, jogging trails, a play area, basketball court, and a gazebo with adjacent barbecue and picnic area.

The homes range from 1,964 to 3,282 square feet and are priced from $167,950 to $216,450.

Landry said one of the more popular floor plans is the Plan One, a single-story home with a great room and separate dining room. The 1,950-square-foot home can be built with three bedrooms or two bedrooms and a den.

All homes include volume ceilings, ceramic-tile or wood flooring at entry, oak-stained handrails with white pickets, and cultured-marble counter tops in secondary baths.

To visit, take Interstate 215 to Windmill Lane and turn right. Proceed to Bermuda Road, turn left, drive to Brindisi Avenue. Turn right and follow the signs.

The sales office is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily except Monday, when it opens at 11 a.m.
