Wexford Homes' GlenEagles neighborhood in North Las Vegas offers home buyers the opportunity to design their own homes using the builder's own computer design program. The design system allows options that are otherwise unavailable outside a custom home, according to Barbara Barnett, director for sales for the builder. "As just a few examples, (buyers) can consider adding a family room, one or more bedrooms, a den, master bedroom suite, casita with bath, formal dining room, bonus room, office, wet bar, loft, or a third-car garage," Barnett said. Optional amenities include Corian, granite or ceramic-tile counter tops; fireplaces in the family rooms, living rooms or owner suites; skylights; and custom paint. Upgrades are available with appliances, cabinets, electrical and plumbing fixture packages, computer wiring systems, and security systems. Adjacent to the neighborhood is Heather Ridge, another subdivision by the builder. The neighborhoods feature one- and two-story homes ranging from 912 to 2,151 square feet with two to six bedrooms. Three-car garages are available with select plans. All homes offer dozens of floor-plan options and customizing features. Homes are priced from $109,990. Standard amenities include concrete-tile roofs, front-yard landscaping with irrigation, and block walls. The interiors of the homes feature vaulted ceilings, plant shelves, rounded wall corners, cabinets in a choice of colors, owner suites with separate tubs and walk-in closets in some plans, laundry rooms, and prewiring for cable TV and telephones. To visit, take Craig Road to Kings Hill Road, which is west of Commerce Street, and then go west. The sales office is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
