The news of Del Webb Corp.'s second-place ranking in the Las Vegas J.D. Power and Associates 2000 New-Home Builder Customer Satisfaction Study arrived on the eve of Anthem Country Club's second anniversary. The golf course community in Henderson opened in October 1998.

"Anthem Country Club has a strong commitment to customer service and quality workmanship, and we want to thank our members who recognize this commitment," general manager Chris Haines said. "While we're pleased by the results, we are now looking at ways to exceed our members' expectations so we will be No. 1 next time."

The ranking was also based on the developer's Sun City Anthem and Sun City MacDonald Ranch communities in Henderson. Del Webb Corp. tied with its Coventry Homes division for second place.

At Anthem Country Club, there are four series of homes and 20 floor plans, ranging from 1,275 to 5,800 square feet. Homes are priced from $190,400 to $692,400.

Custom-home sites measure from one-half acre to more than 1 1/2 acres and offer views of the championship golf course, city or mountains. The lots are priced from $875,000 to $1.2 million.

Community amenities include a clubhouse; athletic club and salon; tennis, basketball and sand volleyball courts; swimming pools; a spa; and play area. Fine and casual dining are also featured.

Member events range from wine tastings to mountain hikes, according to Haines.

Anthem Country club is part of the Anthem master-planned community. To visit, take Interstate 215 to Eastern Avenue and head south about two miles past St. Rose Parkway. Models are open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
