When Eddie and Arcy Arroyo were ready to buy their first in-ground swimming pool, they had a clear idea of what they wanted in pool.

"We were looking for a pool that would be fun to use, durable and require less maintenance than a concrete pool," Eddie Arroyo said.

"Based on what we read and learned, we decided to buy a ceramic-epoxy pool from Renaissance Pools & Spas. The result is a pool that we spend more time enjoying and less time maintaining. In fact, we were so pleased, we recommended Renaissance Pools to a friend, who also purchased one of their pools."

The Arroyos are impressed by their pool's design.

"The ceramic-epoxy materials in these pools allow for no transfer of water or other substances, which ensures a smooth finish with no staining and no need for refinishing later on. Our family of four enjoys the pool on a daily basis, especially at night, when the finish actually glitters," Arroyo said.

"As far as maintenance goes, I have actually had a great deal of fun learning to care and clean for my pool; that's how easy it is.

"The installation was completed in far less time than a conventional gunite pool, and the crew was professional throughout the entire process ... Everyone, from the day we first walked into the showroom has been friendly and helpful ... and the service after the sale has been excellent."

The company is the exclusive dealer for ceramic-epoxy pools built by Viking Pools Inc. A variety of pool shapes, sizes, colors and finishes are available, ranging from 10-by-16-foot models to 45-foot, resort-style pools.

Prices for installed, ceramic-epoxy pools start from $14,500 to $30,000, and financing is available.

The company also offers consultation for buyers who prefer to handle their own pool installation, which can result in a savings of as much as 40 percent.

The showroom is located at 1245 N. Boulder Highway, about a half mile south of Sunset Road. It features more than 40 display pools and an outdoor showroom with several operational pools and spas.

A second showroom opened recently at 2180 W. Craig Road, just west of Interstate 15. It has about 2,000 square feet of indoor showroom space, as well an outdoor showroom with more than 40 display models.

According to the pool builder, ceramic-epoxy pools and spas are constructed with advanced-composite materials that are designed to be stronger than traditional materials. They are installed faster than gunite pools, use fewer chemicals and have a resistant surface finish.
