Windows open to possibilities at Nevada Trails

Energy-saving windows, standard throughout homes in the Nevada Trails community by Pardee Homes in the southwestern valley, have allowed an environmentally friendly sun room in the Plan One design at the gated, single-story Saddle Peak neighborhood, according to Ray Landry, an executive with the company.

"Spectrally selective windows let in optimum natural light, but filter out ... ultraviolet light that fades furniture. This optional sun room makes a very special place to relax or entertain, by sunlight or by moonlight, for that matter," Landry said.

"Courtyards are also very popular with our Saddle Peak buyers. With optional gas fireplaces, colorful tiles and cozy outdoor furniture, they can become an extra outdoor room. While sun rooms bring the outdoors in, courtyards bring the indoors out. After our long hot summers, spending time out on a courtyard in Southern Nevada's fantastic fall weather is great."

The community features three neighborhoods and 11 model homes in a park-like setting. Homes in the Saddle Peak, Silver Tree and Manzanita neighborhoods carry the EPA's Energy Star label and the ComfortWise designation for energy efficiency.

Priced from the mid-$200,000s, Saddle Peak features three floor plans, ranging from 2,565 to 3,025 square feet with as many as five bedrooms, three baths and three-car garages. The single-story homes feature courtyard entries, kitchens with island workstations, and a variety of options such as covered patios, sun rooms, secondary suites and home office packages.

The Silver Tree neighborhood offers four floor plans that range from 2,000 to 3,844 square feet. Priced from the low $190,000s, the homes include as many as seven bedrooms and four baths, and two- and three-car garages. Options include guest suites, super bonus rooms, secondary suites and workshops.

The Manzanita neighborhood features four floor plans ranging from 1,414 to 2,566 square feet. With as many as five bedrooms, two to three baths, and two- and three-car garages, these homes are priced from the mid-$150,000s.

To visit, take Interstate 215 to Rainbow Boulevard and drive one mile south to Robindale Road.

The sales center is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. except Monday, when it opens at 11 a.m.

Pardee Homes has built more than 25,000 homes in Southern Nevada since 1952. Among its developments are Rancho Las Palmas, Eldorado and Fiesta.
