King's Links releases custom lots

MacDonald Highlands, a custom-home community in Henderson, is releasing 10 lots at its King's Links neighborhood through Saturday, and additional lots will be available Sept. 30.

"We're making the first 10 custom lots in King's Links available on a first-come, first-serve basis to those who make reservation deposits prior to Sept. 30," Emily Sherwood, vice president of sales and marketing for MacDonald Highlands, said.

"We've had a lot of buyer interest in this neighborhood and this seems the best way to accommodate everyone's needs."

Most of the lots line the seventh, eighth and ninth fairways of DragonRidge Country Club, and range from one-third acre to more than one-half acre. The homes offer views of the course, lake and waterfall, and Sherwood referred to it as golf course living "at its best."

Prices range from $300,000 to $475,000.

The neighborhood also consists of a community park featuring tennis and volleyball courts, and a playground. A second park is planned for the neighborhood's eastern edge.

"King's Links is a unique neighborhood in that the two nearby parks will help provide an active environment for families with children while the views and ambiance will also cater to residents without children living at home," Sherwood said.

MacDonald Highlands is accepting non-binding, fully refundable deposits of $10,000 to reserve the lots, with a complimentary round of golf at DragonRidge awarded to reservation holders.

The community will consist of 17 neighborhoods built around the course, and will feature about 560 luxury residences. Home sites are available with city, mountain and golf course views and range in price from $160,000 to more than $2 million.

Jay Morrish and David Druzisky designed the golf course, and the clubhouse there will include a golf shop, exercise facility, swimming pool and dining rooms, including a separate mixed grill and lounge. A temporary clubhouse is open and memberships are being offered.

MacDonald Highlands' master plan also includes three community parks and fitness trails that provide access to trails that lead into the McCullough Mountains.

To visit, take Interstate 215 to Valle Verde Drive, turn south and proceed to Horizon Ridge Parkway. The office is open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and weekends from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
