Mountain Falls helps residents stay healthy

The Mountain Falls' community center has made staying active for residents easier than ever before, according to Josh Gaston, who manages the facility at the 1,050-acre, master-planned golf course community by William Lyon Homes in the Pahrump Valley.

"Resident feedback has been extremely complimentary," he said. "People are pleasantly surprised with the quality of our equipment and the level of amenities. The facilities are much more than residents ever expected."

According to daily sign-ins, nearly 100 people use the facility every day, a number Gaston expects to increase as more people move to Mountain Falls.

"About 300 homes are currently occupied so our usage numbers are impressive. We opened less than two months ago and residents are still coming in for their keys," Gaston said.

The facility offers a family pool, adult pool and spa, water-play area, locker rooms and resident lounge with a big-screen TV and billiards table.

The fitness center offers treadmills, elliptical machines, Stairmasters and exercise bikes as well as free weights, dumbbells and weight machines.

Aerobics and yoga classes are planned for the multipurpose room.

"People like that it's a family fitness facility, a place with age-appropriate resources and activities for toddlers to seniors," Gaston said. "The separate family and adult pools are really popular. Residents appreciate the thought that went into the design of the aquatics area."

Homes are available in the single-story neighborhoods of Cascata Ancora, Cascata, Tramonto and Bella Sera.

The residences range from 1,429 to 2,897 square feet with as many as five bedrooms. Prices start in the low $200,000s.

Mountain Falls will comprise mini-parks and a 4-mile walking trail at buildout.

The Mountain Falls Golf Club, an 18-hole, par-72 course, anchors the master-planned community.

The Mountain Falls Grill Room, located within the clubhouse, is open to the public. Banquet rooms are also available for private parties.

To visit, take Interstate 15 to Blue Diamond Road and go west about 45 miles. Before reaching Pahrump, turn left on Manse Road, then proceed to Hafen Ranch Road and turn right, then left on Lakeview Drive and follow the signs to the sales office.

The sales office is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. For more information, visit www.mountainfalls.com.
