Bank managers invest in Pulte

Rob McTevia and his wife, Silvia, both branch managers at a bank, recently moved into their new home at Pulte Homes' Sunset Ridge neighborhood in Summerlin.

The newlyweds both owned homes by other builders and decided to research their options before purchasing a new home.

"We wanted to find the best builder in terms of quality, location and floor plans, even if it meant spending a little more money. Our research led us to Pulte Homes and it was the best purchase we could have made," Rob McTevia said.

They selected the 1695 Plan, which measures 1,695 square feet and offers four bedrooms and a great room.

"My wife and I love the floor plan that we chose," he said. "We were also really impressed with all of the features it included and all the great options that Pulte offers."

The McTevias were equally impressed with the customer service they received.

"Coming from a customer service-oriented industry, we could not have been more pleased with the customer service we received from Pulte," he said. "The sales agents were so great and the entire construction team made sure that we were involved every step of the way to answer any questions we might have had."

They were also impressed with the neighborhood's location in the Ridgebrook village, which features Ridgebrook Park.

The couple will be joined by Rob McTevia's mother, Jane, who is planning to move from Seattle to a new home just around the corner from them.

"On a visit here, my mom fell in love with our home and went to see the other models," he said. "She fell in love with the 1881 plan and immediately purchased it. She will be relocating here this October."

The all single-story neighborhood offers floor plans ranging from 1,481 to 1,881 square feet, each with a great-room design.

Prices start from $189,990 to $214,990.

Standard features include ceramic-tile entries, rounded corners, walk-in closets in master bedrooms and 9-foot ceilings. The kitchens feature gas ovens, dishwashers and microwaves. Additional features include courtyards, stuccoed eaves, and front-yard landscaping with irrigation to the back yard.

Dens are optional in some plans.

The homes feature the builder's Platinum Series Environments for Living building technology and have earned the Environmental Protection Agency's Energy Star label. A two-year heating and cooling guarantee is included.

To visit, take Interstate 215 to Town Center Drive, go north to Desert Inn Road, travel west across the interstate and follow the signs. The sales office is open from noon to 7 p.m. on Monday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Pulte, the nation's largest home builder, has 10 active subdivisions in Southern Nevada. Its Wyeth Ranch and Silverstone Ranch developments are scheduled to debut soon in northwest Las Vegas.

The builder has operations in more than 44 markets across the United States. Under its Del Webb brand, the company builds age-qualified communities. It also operates Pulte Mortgage Corp.
