Buyers commit to Pardee's Renaissance

After visiting Pardee Homes' Renaissance neighborhood in Seven Hills in Henderson, Val and Haigohe Miller had answered the most pressing question in their search for a new home: "Will we be happy in this neighborhood 25 years from now?"

"We are very happy with our home in Renaissance," Val Miller, an attorney, said. "The neighborhood is beautiful, the home is perfect for us and the views are great."

The Millers chose the Plan Two Picasso model, which offers three bedrooms; a den; 2 1/2 baths; and options for a fourth bedroom, third bath and third-car garage extension. The single-story home measures 2,807 square feet.

Haigohe Miller, vice president of a credit union, said there is plenty of room for visitors, especially family members from Southern California. The Millers, who have been residents of Las Vegas since 1995, have five children and eight grandchildren.

Several homes in the newest phase overlook a golf course. Homes in the terraced neighborhood are priced from $297,250 to $388,250.

Two single-story floor plans offer as many as four bedrooms, with optional dens and suites, in 2,726 to 2,938 square feet.

Three two-story plans, ranging from 3,756 to 4,620 square feet, offer as many as seven bedrooms and 5 1/2 baths.

They feature rotunda and courtyard entries, butler's pantries, sculptured fireplaces, high ceilings, and arched doorways. Options include bedroom suites, bay windows, French doors at the courtyard entries, wrought-iron balustrades on staircases, lofts, dens, game rooms and bonus rooms. Plan Four offers an optional bar off the family room, while another model offers an optional wraparound balcony.

Kitchens feature granite counter tops, oak cabinetry, pantries, five-burner cook tops, built-in microwave/oven combinations, and dishwashers. Options include expanded room for commercial appliances, including a 48-inch range and 42-inch refrigerator space.

Each home has earned the Energy Star label and ComfortWise designation for exceeding energy-efficiency standards by at least 30 percent, company executive Ray Landry said.

Seven Hills, a 1,300-acre community near Black Mountain, features city and neighborhood parks and miles of interconnecting trails and walkways.

To visit, take Eastern Avenue south, past St. Rose Parkway, to Grand Hills Drive, go west and follow the signs.

Models are open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily except Monday, when they open at 11 a.m.

Pardee has been building homes in Southern Nevada for 50 years.
