Beatles tribute slated in Seven Hills

The Seven Hills community in Henderson will host a free outdoor concert tonight featuring The Fab, a Beatles tribute band, from 8 to 10 p.m. at Sonata Park, 1550 Seven Hills Drive.

The band's repertoire ranges from the acoustic sounds of "Yesterday," "And I Love Her" and "Hey Jude," to the rock 'n' roll of "Twist and Shout," "She Loves You" and "Day Tripper," and the more progressive sounds of "Magical Mystery Tour," "Penny Lane" and "Strawberry Fields Forever."

The concert is sponsored by the Seven Hills Builders and the city of Henderson Parks & Recreation Department. Attendees are invited to bring blankets and picnic baskets. Refreshments will be available for sale.

Free shuttle bus service will be available. To attend, take Interstate 215 to Eastern Avenue and go south to St. Rose Parkway. Drive about one mile west to the Seven Hills entrance, then go south following the signs.

Seven Hills, which is a 1,300-acre development of Silver Canyon Partnership in the foothills of Black Mountain, will comprise more than 3,000 homes in 25 neighborhoods, including about 300 custom homes, with valley, golf course and mountain views.

Homes priced from the low $200,000s are available in Renaissance by Pardee Homes, Palazzo Monte by US Home, Villa Villagio by Astoria Homes, Meridiana by Trident Homes, and Encore at Palatine Hill by Richmond American Homes.

Custom-home sites priced from the $200,000s to more than $1 million are available in the neighborhoods of Venezia and Terracina by Silver Canyon Partnership, and Corcovado and Portofino Custom Homesites by Nevastar Investment Corp.

About one-third of its acreage is dedicated to open space. Most of the neighborhoods interconnect with or adjoin community parks and walkways. Tree-lined trails, shaded rest areas, fountains, covered picnic areas and pavilions are featured.

Four city parks and several neighborhood parks variously offer basketball and tennis courts, soccer and baseball fields, volleyballs quads, and playgrounds.

The information center is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.
