Duo calls Sun City Aliante perfect

Les and Rosey Garripee found the perfect community for themselves at Sun City Aliante.

"I've been in the development industry for many years," Les Garripee said. "I know what makes a quality home and quality community. In fact, we looked at age-qualified communities all over the country before we found Sun City Aliante."

Garripee spent most of his career developing condominium and student-housing complexes in Florida.

"When we decided to move, we knew we wanted to get away from the humidity. I'm tired of taking allergy medication every day and was really looking for a change," Rosey Garripee said.

She found everything she wanted in Nevada.

"The weather is beautiful here and we really like the community's location close to the mountains. I'm really looking forward to making new friends, " she said.

The Garripees bought a Coronado model, a 2,105-square-foot home with two bedrooms, two baths, a library, great room and kitchen nook.

Sun City Aliante is the age-qualified component of the Aliante master-planned community in North Las Vegas. It is being built around a golf course. Additional amenities include a recreation center with tennis and bocce courts, swimming pool, fitness center, and club and hobby rooms.

Prices range from the high-$170,000s to mid-$260,000s.

To visit, take U.S. Highway 95 to Centennial Parkway, exit east to Sky Pointe Drive and turn right. Turn right at Frontage Road, then left onto Interstate 215. Exit at Aliante Parkway and go north. The sales office and models are open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
