Sun City designers help buyers

Len Mirabella, manager of Del Webb's Sun City Anthem design studio, said he loves his job because he gets to make people happy all day.

"My staff and I work hard to help people build their dream homes. Our goal is to delight our clients," he said.

The design studio is located within the age-qualified community's sales pavilion in Henderson. It displays hundreds of samples of cabinets, counter tops, appliances, flooring, window coverings, interior paint colors, wiring and other options.

During his 15 years in the home-interior industry, including five with the builder, Mirabella said he has seen changes in design trends.

"Today's home buyers are selecting deep, rich colors and textures. People are also going for more upgrading in the kitchen with stainless-steel, commercial-grade appliances and granite counter tops."

Flooring selections include more hardwood, tile and stone, and more buyers are seeking wiring for entertainment and security systems.

Twelve designs ranging from 1,496 to 3,175 square feet are available, and priced from the low $200,000s to more than $500,000.

The community features amenities such as the Revere at Anthem Golf Club, which has two championship courses, and Anthem Center, which features fitness, social and recreational opportunities for residents, as well as Trumpets Restaurant and Lounge.

To visit, take Eastern Avenue south, two miles past St. Rose Parkway, turn left on Anthem Parkway and then turn right on Alexandria Drive. Models are open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
