Fiesta Del Norte marks grand opening

SPECIAL TO REAL ESTATE

Pardee Homes is celebrating the grand opening of Fiesta Del Norte this weekend in North Las Vegas. The neighborhood is the first of five the builder plans to open before the end of this year or early next year.

Buyers can choose from three new floor plans, in addition to Plan Four, which was also featured in the builder's Fiesta neighborhood located one mile south of the new neighborhood.

"Fiesta Del Norte offers buyers the opportunity to live in a community of all single-story homes, each backed with Pardee's Energy Star commitment," sales executive Rob Tuvell said.

Each home will feature the Energy Star label, certifying that it is at least 30 percent more energy efficient than standard homes. All homes include spectrally selective glass that will keep out about 75 percent of harmful ultraviolet rays, reducing both energy usage and fabric fade; and sealed ducts that allow heating and cooling systems to work more efficiently, according to Tuvell.

Visitors this weekend can enjoy refreshments and pre-register for the Northern Exposure 10k race sponsored by the city of North Las Vegas and Pardee Homes.

The race, which begins and ends at Seastrand Park in the builder's Eldorado community, is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 11. City representatives will be at Fiesta Del Norte to register participants.

The neighborhood will comprise 200 residences.

At 1,521 square feet, Plan One can be built with three bedrooms or two bedrooms and a den. It also features two baths and a living and dining room. A three-car garage is standard.

Plan Two offers three bedrooms and a den or optional fourth bedroom and two baths in 1,779 to 1,913 square feet. A two-car garage is standard.

An expanded three-car garage is available in Plan Three, a 2,066-square-foot residence with four bedrooms. It also can be built with a media room in place of one bedroom, a teen room in place of another bedroom, and a den in place of yet another bedroom.

Plan Four measures 2,315 square feet with four bedrooms or three bedrooms and a den. The plan also allows for a retreat or nursery. Additional highlights include a family room and a combined living and dining room. A three-car garage is standard.

Homes are priced from the high $180,000s.

To attend this weekend's festivities, take Craig Road to Allen Lane, then go north to El Campo Grande.

The sales office is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily except Monday, when it opens at 11 a.m.

Before the end of 2003, Pardee plans to open its Palo Verde neighborhood at Nevada Trails, a Pardee community in the southwestern valley. The Acacia and Mesquite neighborhoods at Nevada Trails are expected to open in early 2004, as are two neighborhoods in the Sunrise Mountain area.

Pardee has built more than 25,000 homes in Southern Nevada since 1952.
