KB Home celebrates NASCAR at Walnut Glen

KB Home will highlight its Walnut Glen neighborhood today with a special appearance by NASCAR driver Mike Cofer from 1 to 4 p.m. A former kicker for the San Francisco 49ers, Cofer will meet with visitors, sign autographs and hand out KB Home racing merchandise.

Walnut Glen home shoppers can enter to win tickets to a NASCAR race in the Bullring at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The free tickets, along with refreshments, are available while supplies last. In addition, visitors can enter to win a Racing 100 Experience from Driving 101 and take to the track themselves.

The neighborhood is located about six miles from the speedway.

"Walnut Glen is in a growing location, perfect for first-time buyers and growing families," said Shelly Stewart, vice president of sales and marketing for KB Home's Las Vegas Division.

Visitors can choose from 10 single- and two-story designs and tour six model homes. Floor plans measure from 1,231 to 2,038 square feet, and are priced from the $140,000s.

Options include kitchen islands, covered patios and low-e glass windows for total Energy Star compliance.

To visit, take Interstate 15 to Craig Road, exit east to Walnut Road and turn right. The sales office and models are open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily except Monday, when they open at 11 a.m.

The builder offers one-stop shopping at its design center, where home buyers may select options and upgrades and potential home buyers can receive free financial advice, including credit reports, and assistance locating a house in one of the builder's more than 20 new neighborhoods. The facility is located at 7440 S. Industrial Road, Suite 201, just south of Warm Springs Road.
