Christopher's design impresses buyers

David and Diane Pearce moved to Las Vegas two years ago. They had been living in Santa Cruz, Calif., and had only a few acquaintances in Southern Nevada. The couple asked them to recommend a home builder.

"They spoke very highly of the Vineyards neighborhood in Summerlin and, specifically, of Christopher Homes as a home builder. So, we were sure to visit the Vineyards and when we did, we immediately fell in love with the Rothschild design. It was the perfect home for us," David Pearce said.

Diane Pearce was impressed by the customizing and design options.

"We loved the Rothschild design just the way it was modeled, so we didn't do any major structural modifications, except to add a covered patio and viewing deck," she said. "We were particularly impressed by the builder's in-house design center. Our designer did an excellent job helping us with every aspect of the interior design of our home."

David Pearce welcomed the technological features in the home.

"I was amazed at the technology Christopher Homes puts into its homes. We have cat-5 computer cables running to every room, surround sound with HDTV, and stereo and speakers in every room."

The couple's two-story home features a master suite, three secondary bedrooms, 3 3/4 baths and a library in 3,886 square feet. A three-car garage was included.

Although Vineyards is sold out, the Rothschild is currently available in The Christopher Collection neighborhood at Southern Highlands Golf Club.

Buyers can choose from 15 single- and two-story designs, ranging from about 3,000 to 6,200 square feet. Prices start from the low $500,000s to more than $1 million. The builder includes a $25,000 allowance in the base price for customizing options.

Christopher Homes is also developing The Villas in Southern Highlands. Eight designs are available, ranging from 1,983 to 3,400 square feet. Prices start from $351,900 to the mid-$800,000s. View lots are available.

The builder offers another neighborhood of 55 home sites, which measure from 8,200 to 12,000 square feet. Twenty-one floor plans are available, ranging from 1,983 to 6,200 square feet. Prices start from $351,900 to more than $1 million.

Southern Highlands Golf Club is also home to The Enclave, a custom-home neighborhood by Christopher. Eighteen homes will be featured on lots ranging from one-third acre to three-quarters of an acre and priced from the high $200,000s. Residences will be valued from $1.5 million to more than $7.5 million.

Each buyer in a Christopher neighborhood in Southern Highlands receives a social membership to Southern Highlands Golf Club, pending application approval.

To visit the builder's sales center in Southern Highlands, take Interstate 15 to the Henderson/Lake Mead exit and go west.

Christopher's Bellacere neighborhood in The Canyons village in Summerlin is nearly sold out. The guard-gated property features residences valued from about $750,000 to more than $4 million.

To visit, take Summerlin Parkway to Town Center Drive, head south to Alta Drive then go east. The sales office is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday through Monday, and by appointment on Tuesday and Wednesday.
