Couple tout makeup of Renaissance pool
Acting on a tip from an acquaintance, Jackie and Mike Kristina purchased a ceramic-epoxy swimming pool and spa by Renaissance Pools & Spas. "We had talked to three other pool companies, so we were pretty well informed on concrete pools," Jackie Kristina said. "But our (acquaintance) told us she knew a few people who owned ceramic-epoxy pools and were very happy with them. So, we called Renaissance Pools & Spas. ... They said our pool and spa would require much less maintenance and chemicals and, essentially, we'd be able to spend more time enjoying it, rather than having to work on it." Mike Kristina was impressed by the accessories. "We chose a special salt chlorination system that keeps the pool perfect and requires virtually no attention at all," he said. An exclusive dealer for ceramic-epoxy pools, Renaissance offers a variety of pool shapes, sizes and finishes. The pools are built with a composite material that is stronger than other pool-building material including Fiberglas or concrete, according to a company spokesman. Prices range from about $16,000 to $32,000. The company's showrooms are located at 1245 N. Boulder Highway in Henderson and at 2180 W. Craig Road in Las Vegas.
