-- CENTRA Properties appointed Michael Elbrader as project superintendent. Elbrader maintains construction schedules and supervises all subcontractors for quality control and safety. Most recently he was director of construction for Rhodes Homes and has been a superintendent for both Triple Five Las Vegas and D.R. Horton. The company also appointed Eric Smith to be project manager for CENTRA Construction. Smith will be responsible for managing all facets of the construction process at CENTRA Point, as well as the selection of subcontractors, managing project budgets and overseeing the construction schedule for all projects. Previously, Smith served as a project manager at Panattoni Construction and project engineer for both TWC Construction and Tribble & Stephens Construction. -- Durette Studio opened in the heart of the downtown arts district at 1007 S. Main St. The company offers decorative door and cabinet hardware, lighting and interior accessories in a Mediterranean setting. The studio also features the owner's line of "Santa Fe"-inspired interior accessories, handbags and apparel. Owner Durette Candito has been an interior designer for 20 years. Her new downtown studio measures 2,000 square feet. -- Montecito Cos. began construction on a six-story, 100,000-square-foot, Class A office project called Montecito Centre. Located on the south side of Elkhorn Road and Durango Drive, the 3.6-acre project will be adjacent to United Health Services' planned Centennial Hills Hospital-Medical Center. It will include a four-story parking structure. The groundbreaking will be the first week of January 2005 and is scheduled for completion and occupancy in third quarter 2005. -- The GVA Industrial Property Group changed its name to IPG Commercial Real Estate Services. -- Harsch Investment Properties' Ryan Pate represented represented The Center at Spring Mountain in its 64-month lease of 1,500 square feet at 3990 Schiff Drive to Shirley Wong for $111,000. -- Kyle Eigenman and Brian Bennett of Voit Commercial Brokerage represented both parties in Jackson Shaw Co.'s 48-month lease of 4,176 square feet at 3395 W. Cheyenne Ave., Suite 106, to Mid Columbia Engineering for $191,436. In another transaction, Eigenman and Bennett represented both parties in the Jackson Shaw Co.'s 50-month lease of 3,456 square feet at 3395 W. Cheyenne Ave., Suite 104, to Electrical Design and Construction for $164,832. Eigenman and Bennett represented MALK Limited in its sale of 6,000 square feet at 241 Sunpac Ave. to Richard Rohr for $600,000. Eigenman represented Capricorn 1 Entertainment in its 37-month lease of 1,221 square feet at 570 W. Cheyenne Ave. from Harsch Investment Properties for $54,717. Kevin Higgins represented Pacific Industrial Park in its 39-month lease of 10,511 square feet at 1075 American Pacific Drive, Building 10, to Trade Show Services for $213,364.
