Rhodes Homes tracks changing requirements, design tastes of customersSPECIAL TO REAL ESTATE
Rhodes Ranch, a 1,500-acre community built around a golf course with lush landscaping, features innovative architecture and design flexibility, according to Glynda Rhodes, director of design for Rhodes Homes. "The home-building industry is constantly adapting to meet the changing needs and desires of home buyers," Rhodes said. "As a home builder and community developer, we strive to be a leader in creating neighborhoods that address those changes." With each new neighborhood, the company's design team spends hundreds of hours researching the needs, lifestyles and expectations of potential home buyers, then prepares interior designs to meet those expectations. They pay attention to large issues, such as kitchen size and traffic flow, as well as small details, such as the design of bath fixtures and the placement of electrical outlets. "As we learn more about home buyers, we change the architectural designs to make homes more functional, more practical, and more attractive," Rhodes said. "No single home meets everyone's needs, so we take extra care to design homes that are versatile and accommodating. We think about whether the floor plan is good for young children, and we look at the separation between the bedrooms and the family areas to ensure privacy, quiet and comfort." Once floor plans are approved and construction begins, designers create interiors to reflect the lifestyles of buyers who are attracted to living in a recreation-oriented community. Each model reflects a different theme with an assortment of accessories so that individuals can see the possibilities for each home.
