Red Rock buyers enjoy milieu
A recent survey of home buyers at Red Rock Country Club reveals that its beauty and location adjacent to the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area rank as the top reasons for choosing the gated community, which is located within Summerlin. Those surveyed also told pollsters that the community offered additional advantages, including its architecture, the quality of the country club facilities and the sense of security it affords residents. "Red Rock Country Club's location is truly special, and, apparently we are not alone in that sentiment," said Thomas Gilbertson, general manager of the community. "Sunrise Colony Co. has created a country club lifestyle within a natural setting that includes a backdrop of the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area and an elevated location with views of the Las Vegas skyline." The guard-gated community features homes priced from the $280,000s to more than $2 million. The one- and two-story designs with as many as six bedrooms and four-car garages range from 2,100 to 8,000 square feet. The floor plans are grouped into five collections, each offering a variety of architectural styles, including Spanish Colonial, Italian and desert contemporary. They also offer several options such as casitas, courtyards with fireplaces, sit-down wet bars, and owner-bedroom retreats with media niches and fireplaces. Staff at the design studio can assist buyers with the selection of options and upgrades. Country club amenities include a 44,000-square-foot main clubhouse, which will house a pro shop, locker rooms, steam rooms, lounges and a media center. A New Year's Eve grand opening for members is slated for the clubhouse. The 8,000-square-foot sports club offers fitness equipment, a sauna, steam rooms, an aerobics studio, locker rooms and a supervised children's area. An aquatic center features a family pool, spa, adults-only pool, lap pool, children's splash-and-spray mini-park, and an outdoor grill. The Oasis Grill and Lounge and The Palmer Lounge and Garden will offer indoor and outdoor dining. For special occasions, the Sunrise Room will serve as a venue for social gatherings, receptions and banquets. The country club is home to two 18-hole championship courses, a golf practice facility with a double-ended driving range, a putting green and chipping areas. The community sits at an elevation of 3,100 feet and its rugged terrain includes canyons with 100-foot drops, as well as a lake, waterfalls and streams. In Las Vegas, Sunrise Colony Co. is also developing the age-qualified Siena com- munity. To visit, take Sahara Avenue west, past Hualapai Way, to Town Center Drive and follow the signs. Office hours are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.
