Buyers take Copperhead Ranch for `granite'

Granite kitchen counter tops were the feature that "sealed the deal" for Chris and Tricia Hall when they bought a new home at Copperhead Ranch.

"LBM Development is an extraordinary builder; they accommodated all of our requests without any hesitation," Chris Hall said.

The Halls purchased the single-story Tahoe model with three bedrooms and two baths.

"I kicked walls like you'd kick tires when you buy a new car. Every aspect of the community is impressive -- the architecture, the space, the lot sizes, the Red Rock ... views and the southwestern location," he said.

The neighborhood offers one- and two-story homes priced from the low $100,000s.

Interior features include Colonist doors and trim, ceramic-tile entries, plant shelves, textured walls, vaulted ceilings, media centers and laundry rooms. Kitchens provide granite counter tops; a choice of whitewash, maple or alder cabinets; upgraded appliances; and an icemaker line to the refrigerator space. Practical amenities include finished garages, silent toggle-type switches, and ceramic-tile tub and shower surrounds.

Every home also includes ground-mounted air conditioning, front-yard landscaping with irrigation, block walls, concrete-tile roofs and three-coat stucco exteriors. They are also prewired for cable TV, telephone and ceiling fans.

Each home comes with a 10-year structural assurance plan.

To visit, take Tropicana Avenue west to Durango Drive, then go south to Oquendo Road and turn left. The sales office is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
