Country Gardens fits surroundings

Pulte Homes recently opened models at Country Gardens, a neighborhood within Summerlin's The Gardens village. Representatives for the home builder said the neighborhood would be landscaped to match the lushness of the surrounding community.

Across the street from the neighborhood, Summerlin is developing a 20-acre park which will feature a community center, walking trails, picnic areas, gardens, sports facilities and a playground.

"The Summerlin master plan provides a community environment that is attracting home buyers of varying lifestyles from young families to empty nesters," said Joe Whatley, vice president of sales and marketing for the builder. "Home buyers at Country Gardens are impressed with the oversized home sites, many standard features offered as well as the design and layout of these homes."

The all-single-story neighborhood offers four floor plans, ranging from 2,747 to 3,131 square feet. Design features include kitchens with nooks, great rooms, garden cabanas, three-car garages, courtyards, covered patios, half-walls between living areas, and various room options.

Prices start from $295,990.

Exteriors feature courtyards, covered patios, 9,000-square-foot and larger home sites, gas barbecue stubs and finished garages.

Interiors feature 10-foot ceilings; ceiling fan prewiring in family rooms, bedrooms, dens and under patio covers; ceramic-tile flooring in entries, laundry rooms, kitchens, nooks and some baths; cabinets and utility sinks in laundry rooms; 8-foot, raised-panel interior doors; gas fireplaces; prewiring for security systems; and lighting fixtures. Another feature is a wiring package with RG6 cable TV and Category 5E phone outlets in all bedrooms and dens.

Owner suites come with walk-in closets, custom shelving, separate water closet areas, separate showers and tubs, and glass-block windows.

Kitchens feature hardwood cabinets with concealed hinges, roll-out trays, adjustable shelving and crown molding; built-in ovens; dishwashers; microwaves; gas cook tops; and solid-surface counter tops.
