Perma-Bilt Homes' Timberline neighborhood, located in the builder's Shadow Hills planned community in the northwestern valley, offers homes with as many as seven bedrooms.

The gated neighborhood offers four floor plans ranging from 2,895 to 3,828 square feet. Prices start from $229,950.

"Timberline's floor plans are designed with a variety of semicustom features, such as options for casitas, home offices, dens and extra bedrooms," Ruth Ochoa, vice president of sales and marketing for the builder, said.

"In addition, the homes feature distinct exteriors, including some with rock trim, wood shutters and designer wrought-iron work, front courtyards and split-garage designs, plus amenities including double ovens, dual-pane windows with white finished frames and dual-unit air conditioning systems."

The Bishop plan measures 2,895 square feet and offers five bedrooms, a loft or studio, 2 1/2 baths, a split three-car garage, and an island kitchen with an adjoining breakfast nook and family room.

Measuring 3,536 square feet, the Torrey plan offers a casita option. The home has a split three-car garage and can be built with as many as six bedrooms and four baths, and an upstairs deck.

The Ponderosa measures 3,706 square feet and features five bedrooms, four baths, an island kitchen with pantry, a separate dining room and three-car garage. Upstairs, the home can be built with an optional computer center and an optional deck and features a bridge to the owner suite.

The 3,883-square-foot Monterey features seven bedrooms, four baths, a curved staircase, an island kitchen with a walk-in pantry, and a fireplace in the family room.

Residents have access to the Shadow Hills Club. The facility features a weight and workout room, swimming pools, spa, a clubhouse with a kitchen and big-screen television, saunas, basketball court, putting green, and picnic and barbecue areas.

To visit, take U.S. Highway 95 to Cheyenne Avenue and go west. Model homes are open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. except Monday, when they open at 11 a.m.
