SPECIAL TO REAL ESTATE

Pardee Homes is preparing for the Sept. 30 opening of the model homes at Crystal Bend, a gated neighborhood within the builder's Rancho Las Palmas community in the southeastern valley.

The community opened 13 years ago, and has grown to include several neighborhoods, an elementary school, 8-acre park and a ball field.

"Pardee is committed to building a lifestyle for families by offering residents access to recreational facilities such as the community's tennis courts, tot lot, volleyball courts, jogging trails, basketball court and picnic area with gazebo and barbecue," Joyce Mason, vice president of marketing, said.

Opening festivities will include refreshments and a prize drawing for crystal ware.

Four single-story floor plans are available, ranging from 1,964 to 2,627 square feet with two to four bedrooms and three baths.

Homes are priced from the $170,000s.

The majority of the homes will be built on lots measuring at least 70X105, while the remainder will be situated on 60X105 home sites.

Standard features include high ceilings, ceramic-tile or wood entry flooring, and cultured-marble counter tops in secondary baths.

Kitchens, per plan, offer ceramic-tile counter tops, oak cabinets, preparation islands and island sinks.

Owner suites provide walk-in closets, dual-sink vanities, enclosed toilets, and separate tubs and showers.

To visit the site, take Interstate 215 to Windmill Lane and turn right. Proceed to Bermuda Road then follow the signs.

The sales office is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily except Monday, when it opens at 11 a.m.
