Aliante's features impress family

When Kris and Brennan Blednick discovered Aliante, a master-planned community in North Las Vegas, they were not really in the market for a new home.

"We had heard many good things about Aliante and one day, while out for a drive, we decided to take a look at the community. What we saw that day, combined with what we learned about the plans for Aliante, convinced us that we wanted to buy a home in this community," Kris Blednick said. "It's perfect for a family like ours, with all of the parks, trails, the golf course, future schools and recreational amenities."

The Blednicks purchased a home in D.R. Horton's Estates neighborhood.

"We love the open, single-story design of our home. It is very comfortable for entertaining, as well as normal day-to-day living, plus every bedroom has its own private bath," she said.

The couple were particularly happy to be among the first buyers.

"We were fortunate to find the perfect home and neighborhood in the earliest stage of development," she said. "We're looking forward to getting to know our new neighbors. We're very happy and excited to be part of such a nice new community."

Aliante is a development of North Valley Enterprises, an affiliate of American Nevada Co. and Del Webb Corp. Encompassing 1,905 acres, the community consists of primary and age-qualified villages, which will have as many as 7,500 homes.

Builders in the main village are D.R. Horton, KB Home, Pardee Homes and Pulte Homes. Homes ranging from 1,141 to 3,990 square feet are priced from the $130,000s to the $370,000s.

Del Webb is building the age-qualified Sun City Aliante. Its single-story designs measure from 1,155 to 2,105 square feet and are priced from the $170,000s to the $250,000s.

About 430 acres is designated for recreational and public purposes including an 18-hole municipal golf course, three city parks with sports fields, picnic areas and playgrounds, more than 20 miles of trails and linear parks, and an arroyo.

Plans also call for two elementary schools, a middle school, fire station and 100 acres of commercial development, including a 40-acre resort with gaming.

An information gallery is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.

To visit, take U.S. Highway 95 to Centennial Parkway, exit east to Sky Pointe Drive and turn right. Turn right at Frontage Road, then left onto Interstate 215. Exit at Aliante Parkway and go south to the primary village or north to Sun City.
