COLUMN: Construction chief wins Republican Congressional award



-- Ruben Vasquez, president of ADT Construction Group, was honored with the Republican Congressional Committee's National Leadership Award for his work with the group's Business Advisory Council. Vasquez, a 14-year resident of Southern Nevada, actively participates in organizations that work to advance the business development of minority contractors.

-- Pulte Homes' Las Vegas Division promoted Lynn Galindo to vice president of strategic marketing for Pulte Homes and Del Webb, Nevada Operations. Galindo is responsible for developing and positioning product and communities to best serve specific consumer groups. Previously, Galindo served as director of marketing for the Las Vegas Division, as well as regional marketing director for Pulte Homes in Phoenix.

-- Geotechnical and Environmental Services named Damon V. Mazy as a field supervisor. Mazy oversees field technicians and inspectors and performs construction project inspections and testing. Previously, Mazy was responsible for construction project quality control at Lumos & Associates in Reno.
