Solera's amenities, lifestyle please buyer

Maria White is happy with her new home at Del Webb's Solera at Anthem.

"This is exactly what I was looking for," she said, describing her 1,242-square-foot Clark model, a three-bedroom, two-bath home with living and dining rooms.

White, the circulation manager for a college library, works with students every day and is looking forward to living in an age-qualified community.

"I think it will be great to live around people my own age and with similar interests," she said. "I love the feel of Solera, surrounded by mountains and above the city."

Access to amenities such as a fitness center, swimming pool, club and hobby rooms, billiard tables, tennis and bocce courts, and computer and craft rooms attracted White to the community.

"I like the idea of socializing with neighbors, and that activities are there if I want to participate," she said.

In addition to reading, White enjoys swimming, hiking and playing mah-jongg.

"I used to play golf years ago and I'd like to get back into it," she said.

The Revere at Anthem Golf Club is nearby and features two golf courses: the Lexington and the Concord.

Located within the Anthem master-planned community in Henderson, Solera will have 1,750 homes when completed.

The homes will have a variety of energy-saving features including integrated wiring, low-e windows, cocoon insulation, and heating and cooling sealants that exceed Energy Star requirements.

Homes range from 1,140 to 1,771 square feet and are priced from the high $170,000s to the mid-$230,000s.

To visit, take Eastern Avenue south to Anthem Parkway, turn left and proceed to Somersworth Drive. Hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.
