In Step With Summerlin

Summerlin Sam, mascot of the master-planned community, is surrounded by stiltwalker Paul Ortiz, Benny the Mime, along with dancers, from left, Hannah Gavin, Carson Findley and Ruta Kuzmitskas at a recent open house held at The Academy of Nevada Ballet Theatre. The academy, located in the Donald W. Reynolds Cultural Center, is attended by hundreds of families from throughout Las Vegas. The open house celebrated the opening of the Academy's 2001-2002 class schedule and featured dance demonstrations by professionals and students, "budding ballerina" makeovers, and activities.
