Local agent stumbles upon Red Rock
Ross Fabrizio, a 30-year Southern Nevada resident and Realtor for 15 years, was driving on West Sahara Avenue when he first noticed the Red Rock Country Club sales trailer and houses being framed. "I wondered what was going on," he said. After further inquiry, Fabrizio bought a home in the southwestern Summerlin community, even before the models were built. He has also led some of his clients to the community. "The location is really the deciding factor for my clients because there is nothing else like it in Southern Nevada," Fabrizio said. "In addition, Red Rock Country Club is a very active community with the Arnold Palmer-designed golf course, tennis courts, sports club and clubhouse, which are all amenities sought by many home buyers." Fabrizio also cited the value of the homes at the community. Fabrizio chose the Acacia Plan 1204, and his lot overlooks the 10th hole of the community's first golf course. The two-story home offers four bedrooms, 4 1/2 baths, a living room, dining room, island kitchen, breakfast nook, fireplace, courtyard and spiral staircase. A fifth bedroom is optional. Fabrizio decorated his home with Italianate influences, including frescos painted by a local artist. The guard-gated community is home to the first of two planned 18-hole golf courses designed by golfer Arnold Palmer, as well as a practice facility with a double-ended driving range, putting green and chipping areas. A 44,000-square-foot clubhouse features a pro shop, banquet facilities, a meeting room and two dining rooms. An 8,000-square-foot sports club offers exercise equipment, saunas, steam rooms, an aerobics studio, locker rooms and a supervised children's area. An aquatic center features several pools, a splash-and-spray mini-park, and an outdoor grill. Located at the foothills of Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, the country club offers homes measuring from 2,155 to 8,000 square feet. Prices range from the $300,000s to more than $2 million. To visit, take Sahara Avenue west past Town Center Drive and follow the signs. Or, take Interstate 215 to Sahara and go west. The sales office and models are open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. Sunrise Colony Co. is also developing the Siena age-qualified community in Summerlin.
