Seven Hills celebrates Labor Day holiday

A festive celebration marking the Labor Day holiday was held Sept. 1 in Sonata Park, one of four city parks located within the Seven Hills community in Henderson.

The concert and barbecue drew more than 1,500 visitors for an afternoon and evening of family fun, highlighted by the live reggae of Island Tyme. Participants of all ages also took part in a variety of activities that included games, prizes, face painting and balloon art.

The event, sponsored by the Seven Hills Builders, was enjoyed by all, according to Samantha Bonham, community marketing manager.

"Throughout the year, the Seven Hills Builders have sponsored and co-sponsored a number of events for the enjoyment of all area residents," she said. "We now have more than 2,000 families living in Seven Hills, and as the community continues to grow, so does the scope of each new event. It is very gratifying to see so many new neighbors getting to know each other and all of the kids having such a great time."

A development of Silver Canyon Partnership, Seven Hills is located in the foothills of Black Mountain. The 1,300-acre community will comprise more than 3,000 homes, including about 300 custom homes. The master plan includes 25 neighborhoods, landscaped open areas, neighborhood parks and trails. City park amenities include basketball and tennis courts, picnic shelters, soccer fields, volleyball facilities, baseball fields and playgrounds.

Prospective home buyers can tour dozens of model homes and review more than 45 floor plans.

Single-family homes are priced from the $140,000s to about $350,000, while custom-home sites are priced from the $200,000s to more than $1 million.

Neighborhoods open for sales are: Renaissance and Crescendo by Pardee Homes, Naples by Kimball Hill Homes, Palazzo Monte by U.S. Home, Meridiana by Trident Homes, the Venezia and Terracina custom neighborhoods by Silver Canyon Partnership, and Corcovado and Portofino Custom Homesites by Nevastar Investment Corp. Villa Villagio by Astoria Homes is planned.

The Seven Hills information center is located just inside the community on Seven Hills Drive, which is about half a mile west of the Eastern Avenue and St. Rose Parkway intersection.

Office hours are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.
