Richmond American Homes plan satisfies needs of returning resident
After spending the past seven years living in Florida, George Dean decided to return to Las Vegas. He had planned to spend a few months looking for the right home in the valley, but it only took him three days to find it at a Richmond American Homes neighborhood. "My home in Florida sold in only three days, so I arrived back in Las Vegas sooner than I had planned," Dean said. "And although I had planned to take some time to do a lot of looking around at new homes, I realized that the Richmond American home I found at Sandstone fit my needs exactly." He purchased the single-story Cataluna plan. While his home is located in a closed out neighborhood, the same design is being offered at the builder's Galena Point neighborhood in North Las Vegas. The three-bedroom, two-bath design is priced from the $180,000s. Measuring 1,700 square feet, it includes a formal living and dining area, family room, nook and island kitchen with a pantry. The master suite is located at the rear of the home, and a den is optional. "This is my fourth home, and I'm finally back in a city and living in a home that I love. In fact, as far as I'm concerned, this is my last home because I don't ever plan on moving again," Dean said. Six other residential designs are offered at the neighborhood. The single-story Valencia measures 1,500 square feet and features a great room and master suite. It is priced from the $170,000s. The 1,939-square-foot Navarra, priced from the low $200,000s, includes four bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths and a great room. A loft may be constructed in lieu of a fourth bedroom. Also priced from the low $200,000s are the 2,174-square-foot Santiago model, 2,314-square-foot Tuscany design, and 2,526-square-foot Avila plan. Priced from the mid-$200,000s, the two-story Merida model can be built with as many as six bedrooms and various room options, ranging from 2,781 to 3,072 square feet. "I've spent the past 30-plus years in the construction management field, traveling around the country and working with major commercial clients. So I know quality when I see it -- both in construction and design," Dean said. "One thing I have found about Richmond American Homes is that they put out an excellent home ... And they're consistent. Whether it's a luxury home or for a first-time buyer, Richmond pays the same attention to detail across the board." To visit Galena Point, take Interstate 15 north to Craig Road and head west. Turn north on Fifth Street, and then head east on Lone Mountain Road. Stay on Craig to 5th Street and turn north, then head east on Lone Mountain Road. Models are open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily except Monday and Friday, when they open at noon.
