KB Home earns `builder certification'
The National Association of Home Builders Research Center named KB Home's Nevada division as one of the first two public certified builders in the country. To qualify, the center conducted an audit of the builder's quality assurance systems. KB Home also participated in the pilot National Housing Quality Certified Builder program, designed to increase efficiency and consistency in building practices. "Building on our stringent internal quality processes, KB Home's participation in the NHQ Certified Builder Program sends a powerful quality message to our customers," said Leah Bryant, regional general manager of KB Home. Mayfield Estates, located in the northwestern valley, is among the builder's featured neighborhoods. Four floor plans are available. Homes measure 2,697 to 3,648 square feet and are offered with three to six bedrooms and 2 1/2 to five baths. Also situated in the northwest is The Classics at Iron Mountain Ranch, which offers six floor plans, ranging from 2,612 to 3,803 square feet. Homes have three to six bedrooms and 2 1/2 to three baths. Mariposa, a Summerlin neighborhood, features four designs. They range from 2,031 to 2,524 square feet with three to five bedrooms and 2 1/2 to three baths.
