Help-U-Sell leads buyers to Eldorado
When Daryl and Mary Cruz decided to move to Las Vegas from San Diego, they did not want to rent an apartment while they searched for a new home. "We were in a two-bedroom apartment in San Diego," Mary Cruz said. That is when they decided to contact an area Realtor. "Many of the agents I spoke with didn't seem interested because we weren't moving for a while," Daryl Cruz said. He then decided to contact an agent at Help-U-Sell Real Estate Solutions in Las Vegas. "(She) was the only real estate agent who e-mailed pictures and kept us informed as to how the Las Vegas market was going," Cruz said. "(She) stuck with us and helped us." The agent told them about an 1,800-square-foot residence that was available in the Eldorado community in North Las Vegas. The four-bedroom, 2 1/2-bath home was ideal for the couple and their children, 3-year-old Katelyn and 6-year-old Raymond. "It's really very quiet here," said Mary Cruz, who is employed at a pharmacy. "It's a very family-oriented neighborhood. We can't wait until Christmas. The kids love it here." Help-U-Sell is a fee-for-service agency that charges its clients only for the services they use. The agency markets the property, which includes advertising, a lock box and signage. The sellers show their own properties, can conduct open houses and receive full representation. The seller is responsible for paying the buyer's agent's commission. Help-U-Sell opened its first office in Southern Nevada in 2001. It plans to have 22 area offices by next spring, according to a spokesman. All of the company's agents are members of the Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors. The agents represent clients based on assigned ZIP codes.
