C2 Lofts attracts local couple

Longtime Southern Nevada residents Jim and Hong Hunt have purchased a loft at C2 Lofts in Summerlin.

According to Jim Hunt, they heard about C2 Lofts from a rather unlikely source.

"It was Hong's manicurist who told us about C2 Lofts and what a unique and exciting concept it was," he said. "We're constantly keeping our eyes open for good opportunities in real estate and when we visited the C2 Lofts Preview Center, we were impressed with everything about it. We wanted luxury, elegance and contemporary design, but we are not necessarily seeking a huge home."

The Hunts chose the two-story, 2,153-square-foot Velvet design, which includes a 153-square-foot covered outdoor terrace that opens off the main living area.

"The lofts are beautifully designed," Hunt said. "I am in the music business and understand the importance of not necessarily doing the same thing everyone else is doing. You must constantly push the envelope and be on the cutting edge and that is exactly what we sensed happening here at C2 Lofts in Summerlin."

The location also played a key role in the Hunts' decision to buy at the property.

"We currently live in Summerlin and feel that this particular area of the community is perfect for us, for many reasons," Hunt said. "We're equally excited about the future development plans for this area."

Priced from the $700,000s to $1.2 million, the Christopher Homes project will comprise 100 lofts within two five-story buildings at the southwest corner of the Las Vegas Beltway and West Charleston Boulevard.

Eight floor plans are available, and measure as large as 2,800 square feet and with panoramic views of the city.

The lofts will feature minimalist styling with exposed ductwork, expansive windows and ceiling heights that range from 10 to 12 feet in the single-story lofts and 20 feet in two-story lofts. Each loft will also have a private outdoor terrace.

Features also include stainless steel appliances, upgraded cabinetry, granite countertops and Kohler plumbing fixtures. Lofts can be customized with fireplaces, brick wall treatments and various flooring and stone countertop options.

Each building will have its own landscaped roof garden with a fire pit, and barbecue and lounging areas with a fireplace.

Resident amenities also include a heated pool, two spas, a fitness center, an enclosed parking garage and retail shops on the main level.

An executive golf club membership to Red Rock Country Club is included with each loft purchase, and entitles residents to year-round use of the golf course, clubhouse, sports club, and tennis and swimming facilities.

The first of the project's two buildings are almost sold out. Sales will open soon for the second building.

Appointments are available for private tour at the construction site.

Prospective buyers may schedule an appointment by visiting the C2 Lofts Preview Center, located inside the Canyon Pointe shopping center on West Charleston Boulevard, off the Beltway.

For more information, call 425-3191 or visit www.c2lofts.com.

Additionally, a second project, C2 Lofts Upper West Side, will soon begin construction in the northwest valley, near U.S. Highway 95 and West Lake Mead Boulevard.

Amenities for the second property will include an 18,000-square-foot building that will house a swimming pool and spa with water features, a fitness center, treatment rooms, a juice bar, theater, TV room, business center and concierge services.

Prices are anticipated to start in the low $400,000s. An interest list is forming.
