MacDonald Highlands hosts gala
A gala celebration marked the grand opening of the clubhouse at DragonRidge Country Club, the private golf course central to the MacDonald Highlands community in Henderson. The invitation-only party was hosted by Rich MacDonald, developer of the community and country club. It included live entertainment, Italian food prepared by staff of the Dragon Grille, putt-off contest at the pro shop, body fat analysis at the fitness center, and fireworks. Upon completion, the community will feature luxury homes within 17 neighborhoods. A golf membership to the country club is being offered to those purchasing custom-home sites at the Palisades, Lairmont, Dragon Gate and Glenbrook Canyon neighborhoods. Home sites, which feature views of the golf course, valley and mountains, are priced from the $800,000s. Custom homes are priced from $1.4 million. In addition, Toll Bros. is developing a semicustom-home neighborhood, where prices start in the mid-$800,000s. The guard-gated community includes three parks that will encompass about 10 acres and feature tennis, basketball and volleyball courts, play areas and picnic facilities. Also planned are five miles of fitness trails. To visit the information center, located at 1730 W. Horizon Ridge Parkway, Suite 100, take Interstate 215 to Valle Verde Drive and go south to the northwest corner of Valle Verde and Horizon Ridge. The center is open seven days a week.
