Exec: Desert Bloom draws buyers

Buyers are attracted to the resort-like atmosphere and low-maintenance lifestyle at Desert Bloom, according to Todd Nigro, vice president of Nigro Associates.
"Desert Bloom offers a unique combination of single-family homes, a low-maintenance lifestyle, exceptional on-site recreational facilities and pricing that is very competitive for this highly desirable area of Summerlin," Nigro said.
The development, located in The Arbors village, offers six floor plans range from 1,100 to 1,650 square feet and two or three bedrooms. The largest plan is expandable to 2,000 square feet.
      Prices start at $119,490.
"The homes are designed for convenience ... all front- and rear-yard maintenance is taken care of through the homeowners association, which will preserve the integrity of the neighborhood and provide even more convenience for our homeowners," Nigro said.
Homes feature great rooms, 9-foot ceilings in primary living areas, media niches, ceramic-tile entries and counter tops, oak cabinets in a choice of finishes, and raised-panel doors.
According to Nigro, the development features an open land plan with homes surrounding a central courtyard drive. A minimal use of interior walls and landscaping around the homes create a park-like setting. Each home offers room for a backyard patio. In addition, some home sites offer city or mountain views.
Community amenities include a 1,200-square-foot recreation building with a kitchen and a landscaped outdoor recreation area with a swimming pool, spa, patio and fireplace.
To visit the neighborhood, take Summerlin Parkway to Town Center Drive, go south to Alta Drive and then west.
The sales office is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
