Timberline floor plans offer flexibility


     Perma-Bilt Homes' Timberline neighborhood features floor plans with options for home offices, entertainment centers and casitas, as well as homes with courtyard entries, curved staircases and split garages, according to Ruth Ochoa, vice president of sales and marketing.
      "The response to Timberline has been positive, particularly among those buyers who are familiar with the Perma-Bilt product and were waiting for us to introduce a line of larger homes with semicustom features," Ochoa said.
      Located in the builder's Shadow Hills community, the gated neighborhood features four floor plans priced from $217,950.
      The 2,895-square-foot Bishop plan comes with a split three-car garage, as many as five bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, an island kitchen and an adjoining family room. A den, loft or studio is optional.
      The Torrey plan measures 3,536 square feet. It has a split three-car garage and can be built with as many as six bedrooms and four baths. Options include a casita, loft, deck, office or den.
      The 3,706-square-foot Ponderosa plan comes with a three-car garage, five bedrooms, four baths, and an island kitchen with pantry. An office is optional. The home also can be built with an upstairs computer center and a deck.
      The Monterey offers as many as seven bedrooms and four baths and can measure as large as 3,883 square feet. It has a curved staircase, laundry room, a family room with fireplace, pantry and island kitchen. Options include a den or study, and a deck above the front entrance.
      The builder is offering a 6.875 percent interest rate for buyers who close before Dec. 8, 1999. Under the terms of the program, the special rate is for the first year of the loan and then locks-in at 7.875 percent for 29 years.
      Residents will have access to the Shadow Hills Club, which will feature fitness equipment, a pool, spa, basketball court, putting green and barbecue areas. Construction is scheduled for completion in winter.
      To visit, take U.S. Highway 95 to Cheyenne Avenue and go west. The sales office is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily except Monday, when it opens at 11 a.m.
