Calico Ridge offers range of custom-home site sizes, prices
People interested in building a custom home will be surprised to see the selection of home sites and prices at the Calico Ridge custom-home development, according to sales agent Hawley Bagley.
"While lots at many new custom developments are priced exclusively in the hundreds of thousands (of dollars), Calico Ridge offers home sites that range from the mid-$50,000s to over $400,000," Bagley said. "That means there is literally something for everyone seeking the luxury of their own custom home."
Bagley said the development's land has been family owned for many years, which enables the developer to pass along savings to home-site buyers and make buying a custom home affordable to more people.
Three neighborhoods are offered, each with a variety of views.
Two Crows features home sites ranging from 8,600 to 29,466 square feet and priced from $56,100 to $111,000.
East Hawleywood is a gated enclave of eight home sites as large as 1 1/3 acres and priced from $185,000 to more than $400,000. These home sites were cleared from the top of a mountain.
Another gated neighborhood is Calico Hills, which features home sites ranging from one-half acre to 2 3/4 acres. Prices range from $120,900 to $395,000.
To visit, take Interstate 515 to Lake Mead Drive and head east, three miles past Boulder Highway. The sales office is open daily from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
