Construction worker selects Pulte for first home purchase

As a framer and construction foreman for more than 10 years, John Mierzwa helped build hundreds of homes in Las Vegas, among them two Pulte Homes neighborhoods.
When he decided to purchase his first home, Mierzwa applied his construction knowledge and found the ideal home for himself and Mambo, his chocolate Labrador retriever, at Pulte's North Shores Premier. The neighborhood has since been built out.
"I know Pulte is committed to detail and quality," said Mierzwa, now an estimator. "During the design stage, the house is constantly assessed, making sure it's structurally sound as well as in accordance with the architectural plans."
Mierzwa added a patio cover, French doors and a pantry to his home's original design.
"We take pride in the construction ... of our homes," said Joe Whatley, vice president of sales and marketing. "Whether it's a condominium, townhome, single-family home or a luxurious golf course lifestyle that buyers are looking for, Pulte's got it."
Pulte homes range from the $90,000s to $200,000s with 1,023 to 3,131 square feet.
An alternative to apartment living is available at Stone Ridge, a condominium development in Peccole Ranch. Six floor plans, including a two-story model, range from 1,056 to 1,554 square feet. Prices start in the $90,000s.
Cottonwood Terrace, in The Arbors village in Summerlin, offers townhomes in single- and two-story designs ranging from 1,397 to 1,847 square feet and priced from the low $130,000s.
The builder also offers Eagle Creek and Eagle Creek Heights in the northwestern valley. Eagle Creek Heights offers five two-story floor plans ranging from 1,691 to 2,246 square feet and prices starting from the low $130,000s. Eagle Creek offers four single-story plans ranging from 1,023 to 1,585 square feet. Prices start at $109,990.
The builder is also developing three neighborhoods at Stallion Mountain Country Club. Priced from the $120,000s, homes at The Links range from 1,193 to 1,619 square feet. The Fairways homes are priced from the mid-$150,000s and range from 1,540 to 2,260 square feet. Prices at The Greens start at $203,990 and range from 2,413 to 2,881 square feet.
Crown Ridge, a neighborhood in The Willows village at Summerlin, has single-story homes in four floor plans that range from 2,422 to 3,012 square feet. Prices start in the mid-$210,000s.
All of the builder's model homes are open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily except Monday, when they open at noon.
