Family moves into Manchester neighborhood

Amy Weigel and Edward Urrea have settled into their first new home at Richmond American Homes' Manchester neighborhood.

"Getting our keys had to be one of the most exciting times we've had," Urrea said. "To finally have a home that is just ours and has only been ours is a great feeling."

The home's location in the southwestern valley was a factor in the couple's choice of neighborhood.

"I love being close to the mountains. Edward and I go on walks and really enjoy having some part of nature nearby," Weigel said. "The area is quiet and peaceful, which adds to the convenient location."

Five two-story floor plans are available.

The couple chose the 1,443-square-foot Hampton model. Priced from the $270,000s, the two-bedroom, 2 1/2-bath home also features a loft and living room.

"We have made the loft into a library which worked out great with the tech center across the hall," Weigel said. "The floor plan makes great use of each square foot."

The two-bedroom, 2 1/2-bath Amherst design measures 1,195 square feet. Dual master suites and a laundry room are upstairs, along with a tech center. The floor plan starts from the $240,000s.

The 1,384-square-foot Concord includes two bedrooms, a den, 2 1/2 baths and a family room. It is priced from the $250,000s.

The Pembroke floor plan, measuring 1,415 square feet, includes three bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, a living room, kitchen with a nook and pantry, and a built-in desk. The master suite has a walk-in closet, dual cultured-marble sinks, and an enclosed toilet. The model is priced from the $270,000s.

The 1,638-square-foot Windam model includes three bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, a loft, living room and separate dining room. The loft can be converted into a bedroom. It is priced from the $300,000s.

To visit, take Interstate 215 to Russell Road, go west to Fort Apache Road, go south to Patrick Lane, head west to Grand Canyon Drive and then go south.

The builder has 30 active subdivisions throughout the Las Vegas Valley. Sales offices are open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily except Friday, when they open at noon.
