Red Rock Country Club `soups' up city's Realtors

Red Rock Country Club recently hosted an event for realty agents that included a lunch buffet, drawings for massage gift certificates, and tours of model homes at the golf course community.

Titled "Rock Soup," the event also included a reading of the children's book, "Stone Soup," which represented the theme of the proceedings: sharing a lesson of working together as a team.

"We wanted to share several announcements with the Realtor community, who are a very integral part of the success of Red Rock," Karin Stiles, vice president of sales at Red Rock Country Club, said. "For example, we have a new phase of all golf course homes that was recently released and we are nearing completion of our clubhouse, which we wanted to share with our guests."

Stiles informed the guests of the release of 15 home sites on the Arroyo course, priced from $350,000 to the $700,000s.

She also announced that through Dec. 31, Red Rock Country Club is offering each home buyer a free social membership to the country club community (subject to approval of the membership committee).

The event also provided information about the community's Sunsation customizing options program.

A development of Sunrise Colony Co., the 24-hour, guard-gated community is located in the foothills of the Spring Mountains and situated behind masonry walls.

Buyers can choose from single- and two-story homes that range from 2,100 to more than 8,000 square feet with six bedrooms and a four-car garage. Homes are priced from $280,000 to more than $2 million.

Architectural styles include Spanish Colonial, Italianate and Desert Contemporary. Optional features include casitas, courtyards with fireplaces, sit-down wet bars, and owner bedroom retreats with media niches and fireplaces.

Serving as the centerpiece for social activities will be the 44,000-square-foot main clubhouse, which is scheduled to open in January with a golf shop, locker rooms, a media center, banquet room and dining opportunities.

An 8,000-square-foot sports club offers health and fitness equipment, saunas, steam rooms, an aerobics studio, locker rooms and a supervised play area.

The aquatic center features a family pool, a spa, an adults-only pool, a lap pool, a splash and a spray mini-park and an outdoor grill. The tennis facility features nine lighted, hard-surface courts.

Red Rock Country Club is also home to the first of two Arnold Palmer-designed 18-hole signature courses and a practice facility with a double-ended driving range, a putting green and chipping areas.

To visit, take Sahara Avenue west past Town Center Drive and follow the signs.

Office hours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
